About Two Bears Labs
Two Bears Labs is Josie and Nicole, two software engineers in Minneapolis. We build AI agents and automations, custom software and SaaS products, and websites for small businesses, and we work with clients anywhere in the US.
The founders
Between us we have worked across AI and data engineering, machine learning, cloud systems, and frontend and backend development, including software for medical devices. On every project, you talk directly to the people writing the code.
Josie Machalek
Co-Founder
AI and data science engineer in Deloitte's AI and Data Engineering practice, with a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin. She studied computer science at the University of Minnesota as a Hopper-Dean scholar and got her start building backend software for cardiac devices at Medtronic.

Cloud software engineer at Medtronic, where she builds the systems behind technology that alleviates pain, restores health, and extends life. A University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, she is passionate about mentorship, inclusion, and using technology to make healthcare better.
